- ◊ This day, 23rd Sep 2009, In order to answer another common need, I introduced a self IP address check on this page. It also includes a simple proxy check.
- ◊ This day, 29th Apr 2008, I introduced a brand-new php class that applies a query rate limit. It is based on the client IP, a number maximum of requests and a period to check. From now, 25 queries are allowed within the last 30 minutes.
IDwhois is still in evaluation period for the main core and in developpement for many modules to come. We cannot allow the use of IDwhois without rate limitations else we would not be sure to provide the same quality results from whois servers to each of our users. In a more general way, this query rate limiter will prevent fraudulous use of IDwhois by bots.

Supported TLD list still grows and counts now above 400 TLD.
- ◊ This day, 15th Mar 2008, I launched IDwhois version 2.0alpha. With its completely rewritten core, all previous functionalities are still there and informations are now supplied with more accurancy, moreover supported TLD grown up to 396 !
Many tests are still in process but we already mind to come up with many more improvements. IDwhois' developpement continues, stay tuned.

I can also announce IDwhois version 2 is almost finished, so it will be online in the coming days else in the early February days.
IDwhois bot is already finished, and it is crawling more than HEAD requests or HTML <HEAD> code as it was firstly thought.
IDwhois v2 also uses a new and very efficient Favicon class I have just written and witch ever retrieves existing favicons from current directory in url, at (sub)domain root or at top domain root. It seeks both for favicon files and also indexes source code to locate favicon URL from absolute and relative URL in code. It supports web redirections of these types: HTTP headers Location tag (code 301, 302 & 307), HTML tag <meta http-equiv... and HTML frames.

- ◊ This day, 10th Dec 2007, I added GoogleMaps support ! IDwhois now directly outputs a Google Map from the IP location datas. Precision may vary.
- ◊ Since November 2007, IDwhois.info has 1yo ! So we have carry out some cool improvements like many regex parsing of the whois report for a better readability.
